If human laziness is the thing driving this then we have problems. IMO iot will boom more in the utilities & industrial type environment where it can be used eg. to monitor & regulate power more efficiently over a city grid & things alike...iot is already here for things such as online banking online shopping etc. the use of iot to micro manage day to day tasks is just a fad imo
