I see the 5th shipment of gas will be loaded and heading out this weekend. I remember being told early this year every shipment was going to be worth $50M profit to Santos. I know gas prices have come down this year. Can anyone tell me what a shipment is worth in profit now. Not too bad from first gas loaded 16 Oct to now. They are be able to load a tanker every 4-5 days when fully operational. You only have to read the reports on China's pollution and see why gas into china will be so important, so they can cut down on coal power generation and pollution. I think Santos are in a pretty good position with their contracts in place in this area.
