I too hope its an industry player. I have been keeping tabs on West Pharma and this little excerpt from their recent CC makes me think they have at least made their way through the data room.
"While our current long-term outlook is entirely organic based, we will remain open to opportunities to augment our growth through partnerships and bolt-on acquisitions to strengthen our packaging container and delivery system offerings."
West Pharma has current annual revenues of $1.2 billion p.a. however they have an ambitious target of doubling that by 2020. They also appear to be talking up innovative delivery systems such as Smartdose patch pump in achieving their 2020 targets.
Is there logic in partnering with a competitor patch pumper, I dunno???? But if West Pharma want to take it to the next level, a partnership with UNS seems the way.... with an outright acquisition sometime down the road... maybe
