Just because they are being installed it does not mean they are cost effective and efficient. It simple is the best technology available for the job.
One of the major costs of solar is the costs of the battery and its efficiency as it ages, it losses efficiency every cycle.
I stick with my statement that batteries are not a cost effective and efficient means for storing power now and in the near future.
