CEY was mentioned in the AIR report on the Peabody proposed takover of Excel. The speculation was that CEY was benefiting from the Excel activity and is one of the last remaining independent coal producers in Australia. The gnomes from Zurich- Xstrata - also got a mention. Maybe - and that's a long maybe - Xstrata could be looking at CEY in view of their past performance in the Austral fiasco.
