re: john howard Pints,
If you are going to quote me pint size, do it properly.
And true, you are not worthy.
Waiting at the dock, hmmm, I suspect that's the closest you'll get to leaving the island.........
It will be a case of good riddance, no doubt about that. But you can count on it that I'll give yee all an update on what the view is like 'standing on the outside looking in', while the likes of you blind Howard Faith Healers try and manufacturer dreamy recountments of 'why things have truned out like they have'.
And I'm also sure that his Followers, just like him will be unable to recount or recall ever having a thing to do with anything that directly leads to Australia becoming a protectorate of the USA, or shall we say the 'Coalition of the Killing'.
But hey, I forgot, Howard followers merely gauge prosperity and community wellbeing by how much there asset columns tally too, while ignoring what debt, cost (financial, environemtal or societal) may be involved.
After all, that's why we all became members of HotCopper for ain't it? Yes, yes, yes my we little Howard Hugging cherubs, I'll keep you inform from afar with how Australia are truly percieved in the international arena. Mind you, it will be an account from our near and dear nieghbours, not that Howard seems to think they are important. Well, only as far as incoming revenue goes. To this end the vermin will travel to Guandong and smash Champagne bottle on the bows of LNG tankers.
And if tunnel vision is what person X (I tend to be unable to recall 'insignificants') calls a well rounded, grounded and opinion supported by evidence and fact, I'll continue to ride that train. After all, even without being aquainted with X-person, I am contented in knowing that my tunnel vision has been compiled by doing, experiencing, studying and completing far more tasks, trials, textbooks, cultures, countries and communities than X-person has ever even dreamt of or had to courage to attempt. Tunnel vision as X-person calls it can therefore be contracted by continually and passionately pursuing new experiences and cultures, by continually pushing oneselfs to 'look outside the box' and to constantly be asking oneself 'why it is so', when all the lemmings are so happy to agree with the 'expert' opinion.
Yep, if that is what it is Mr.Mrs. X, thanks for the complement, I happy being a tunneler. And you, I'd suggest you contemplate moving your P.C to the sunroom for a week or two. This may enable you to finally shed a wee bit of light on why you are and always have been so terminally ignorant.
And to intellectual minnow person, Y let's call them. Don't allow your own ignorance to highlight your lack of intellect. If you are stumped by someones use of a word or by its meaning, grab a dictionary or just punch the word into Google followed by meaning. I realise Australians are indeed amongst the laziest (in every way) people or cultures on the planet, however, thios can be your little way of helping improve the total mass of Australia's intellect. Oh, but sorry, I forgot you are Happy with Howard and it directly follows that you are keen to see us continue to pay 'drought relief' (haha, longest running drought in history- get over dingbats, it's called irreversable climate change- oh, and thanks for the LEADERship shown there again Howie) and also to have a children schooled forever as Tradie's. Let's keep dumbing'em down Howard..............the only way he can perpetuate his falsehood of brilliance. And speaking of falsehoods, and to the Joker who brought up the record 'of Howard making home ownership accessable to more Australians than ever before', hmmm, at what cost? And has that particualr 'false economy' existed through hard times yet? Answer = N.0. And what will happen when it does? Who will still be the most accountable PM we have ever had? Who will say, 'Yes, that was always going to be a possible negative impact of the First Home Owners/Buyers incentive'?.
And here's a no brainer for all you budding Economic and Social Commentators who don't seem to suffer from what person X termed 'Tunnel Vision'. Have yee ever heard of the sayings, 'Every action has an equal and opposite reaction?', or ' Actions have consequences'? Hmm, well while you are happy to trundle out the great things and deeds JH and Costello have single handedly achieved (in economic isolation of course - go you tunnelers), all this has occured, as you agree, in what have been heady days, the economic canvas upon which they were plyed and painted was already very robust and healthy. So what happens when the bulls run out of steam and we are left with a system of check and balances that have been untried and designed for use only in heady, bullish and booming economic times, hmmmm? Who'll put his hand up and scream 'Accountability' then? No one that's who..........it'll be pass the parcel at question time and the eternal culture of UN-accountabilty will continue unabated in Australian politics.
And please, don't get me wrong cherubs, my feelings and sentiments towards ALL Australian politicians is the same. They are all unaccountable and they are all jelly backed lun-true tellers and turncoaters sychophants. Excuse me if my 'tunnel vision' doesn't allow me to see otherwise. I'm happy at that. But mind you, I shouldn't harp on about something I have firmly believed about since truning 18 and having a vote for the first (and only-by choice) time.
And before the egalitarian 'We love Australia', I'll bid you farewell from the dock, Blind Faith Followers come out and start sermonising the 'value of the vote' in our politically corruptable electoral system, know it well that I will only vote again in Australia when one vote actually counts for just that, 1 vote. Simple really. And of course, there is one more stipulation. I'll contemplate exercising that right to vote only when voting is NOT compulsory.
Simple really ain't it nay-sayers...............a concept you should all readily grasp quite easily:)
