That would appear to be the case. Many store/department managers are reporting that customer trolleys are already filled with a Aldi and or Coles shop then the remainder is the customer is walking the store with the specials catalog and simply grabbing a couple of items on special.
It would be interesting to see the average customer spend report for this year as opposed to previous years and just how much it has decreased on percentage basis over the last 5 years.
