My only thoughts based on my experience is along the lines of the reality of property ownership vs expectations.

Consider 4 or 5 properties all owned at one time....

In any one year, you would have to consider that one or more may be without tenants for a anything up to a number of months. Maintenance on houses is expensive and ongoing. Water heaters needing placing, plumbing issues, painting, carpets, lighting and electrical. The list is endless.

Through in a dodgy tenant who doesn't pay on time, or you have to go through the process of evicting, and suddenly the homes are a financial and emotional nightmare.

    Just adding to the discussion.
