I'll preface this all by saying, "I believe I've read that a bonus was paid to DS for the SS "deal" - if there was none, I'm wrong in asking.
I agree with what you have said re this deal mate but, surely, you concede that if DS was paid a bonus for putting a deal together that fell over, he shouldn't receive a "bonus." $$$ or shares in lieu.
The intent behind a bonus is if the CEO, thru his expertise or otherwise, can provide value over and above relevant KPI's or the like, that would also in doing such, reflect an increase in SP for the company & its shareholders, then that RESULT attracts a bonus....
What happens when a real estate transaction falls over between buyer and seller..?
There's no deal. The rep that signed the deal gets nothing and if there was any referrer, he gets nothing too.
On what basis, and by what reasoning should DS be paid a "bonus" for the SS deal..?
