agree with you about Peter Costello as treasurer Alan. Johnny was a man for the times, doing what needed to be done where others didn't have the political nerve. History will remember him for it. The only thing that worries me about Costello is his presentation. To me, he comes across a little smirkingly sacrcastic and condescending. It's probably just an image thing that shouldn't matter but it does. If he is to be the face of Australia, I would like to see him work on that.
