They actually got a team of the best wooden boat builders to work on the plans of the ark and come up with a report on the amount of timber needed, the weight, time, manpower, etc required to build such a boat.
The outcome was that no boat of that size could be built out of wood. It would be impossible to support its own weight.
Secondly it could not be built in any amount of years because by the time they got to the rear end the front end would have rotted away. It would have taken a forest of seasoned timber and gofer wood was not that common and certainly not suited for such a ship.
They said that with 10 times the manpower and the best tools available and heavy lifting devises it still could not be done.
The conclusion was that such a ship was impossible to make nowadays, let alone in the age of Noah.
