You just made that up.
Turnbull barely moved during the entire speech, let alone squirmed.
No I didn't make it up. Turnbull shifted in his seat several times very uneasily, and he kept looking around like he'd rather be anywhere than there.
Turnbull was clearly uncomfortable about the entire issue about the utterly disrespectful treatment of the (then) PM Julia Gillard at the time, which was a disgrace.
It is entirely consistent that he'd be uncomfortable about the Gillard speech because it contained so many truths. He certainly wasn't defending Abbott.
Eric Abetz kept putting his glasses on and off again, in a vain attempt to distract people's attention from Abbott who was being cooked alive. It's funny to watch.
Despite his faults, Turnbull has a few personal standards of behaviour and he expects his Ministry to do better in relation to women than Abbott. The fact that he has required consequences for Briggs is evidence of that. Sorry but you're wrong. Nothing you are saying is logical on the point.
Look at the speech again to refresh your memory. It's available on youtube.
