I can't think of anything smart about this at all except from an aggressive product marketing perspective with a poor moral / ethical compass.

No formula can give a newborn child what a mother can, here is a few of the standout differences.
1. Bonding of mother to baby through breastfeeding.
2. Human colostrum not able to be replicated.
3. Transfer of mothers natural immune system to newborn.
4. Am sure the Australian Breastfeeding Association would disagree with this approach as the primary provider of nutrients for a newborn. As a supplement or interim alternative due to medical conditions perhaps.

Maybe A2M is right in not trying to cash out on a such a low ball market as its brand could well be impacted. Maybe they are the smarter for it in the long term.
