'Following the completion of the sampling program, operations for this well will be complete and the well will be left in a safe condition with the joint venture deciding not to deepen the well or retain the well for future re-entry.'

Not retaining the well for future re-entry, doesn't that mean useless..

I am a big Cvn fan and want the best for all holders, and understand that this was a good proving drill, but the hole is now just being left with it being nothing but a hole.. Is that right??
Some are talking of gas pipelines and extracting has etc, but the statement says close it up and walk away...

What now for Cvn?
