Like you, I have never been a holder of shares in a company that was involved in an offer made to take over. IMO, unless the offer was substantial with the offer been well above the SP, then the offer would be refused by both board and shareholders. I would imagine that unless the offer is at least 30%+ above the SP, the offer wouldnt even be seriously consider. I wouldnt like to sell my small portion of shares unless the offer was a $1 plus per share.
