Hi Robbie. Had a good read of it and it is pretty impressive. Any Australian company that can get started in electronics and software is impressive. It's a really tough ask from here. My company has just finally started our RFID development. We have a small budget and we're up against some huge opposition overseas. We think we can do it but it's very high risk/reward. I'd love to see RYG succeed because I know just how hard it is.

I guess the few things that bother me and bother me a lot are....

I've read a lot about what it can do and how universal it is in application. However, I haven't read anything from anyone that's actually used the technology. That's something I'd want to know first before investing. We're told how good it is but how good is it in reality.

The fact that it's basically software makes me feel both better and worse. The idea of their little embedded hub was never going to work imo, whereas if it's just software then it's a different ball game. Then we have to say, if it's just software does that mean RYG is going to go head to head against Google and other huge global players. If that happens they most likely will lose unless in bed with one of them. Even protecting patents can be a nightmare.

I see the value of RYG being in its patents. Trouble is I can't get a clear handle on what they are or what they stop others from doing. If they are great and with so many multi nationals into the IoT then why no early buyout. I would have thought they would be snapped up by now but in fairness I also know it can happen slower than we sometimes imagine.

So we have an investment decision based on someone telling us how good it is and on patents for which we don't really know the intrinsic value of.

Look, RYG could boom imo. They could get a buyout tomorrow or do a deal that sends this through the roof. I'm certainly not saying don't buy RYG because I love small techs giving it a go and best of luck to them and all holders.

I'm just saying this is still very high risk. Don't get so caught up in it that you put the house on it imo or take a position where it could cause a loss across your whole portfolio. It's not a sure thing by any means. I know there are no sure things on the market but there are some with more certainty than RYG.
