i would definitely not disagree with your criticisms of the consistency at the ASX.

they are appalling.

their argument would be they are underresourced, well they have poured pretty fat cheques into some fat broker pockets over the years. about time they spent some money on proper regulation.

does anyone know how they make their decisions on who to scrutinise? I don't that's for sure.

it's not unreasonable that FNTs announcement is scrutinised but what an absurd way to happen - after already releasing it.

it seems highly probable that this halt has been motivated by the events surrounding AUM where, again, the scrutiny should have happened before the event.

the resource sector, particularly the small end, needs more structure in reporting and a consistent policy would be the first place to start.
