My understanding is they have removed the 7% circuit breaker rule but introduced a new rule limiting sub holders to selling no more than 1% of a stock in a month (or a quarter?). My guess is chinese authorities are analysing where the selling is coming from and adjusting the rules to minimise intervention and maximise confidence in the market. Will it work? Will have to wait & see.
OOH pricing of XJO overnight bottomed around 4930 & up to around 4950 atm so we remain within our trading range which I am sure will be tested today - probably when china trading opens late morning.
Cheers, Sharks.
