Perhaps the draftsman at Cairn Energy who drew 2 blocky sections on the stratigraphic log is not the messiah but just a naughty little boy! Unfortunately with only limited information disseminated to the "plodder public" many of the points discussed in this thread are plausible but are simply unknown at this time. For me I am just going to stick with what I know re 8000 b/d flow tested from a blocky sand unit, 1000 b/d from heterolithic thin sand unit tested, good correlation between SNE 1 and SNE 2 and " results to date meeting all pre drill expectations".

From my perspective nothing more to add until more info received. I am really hoping we get greater clarity on January 19. I see in another post you made that the info received from FAR was of little use. Disappointing but not unexpected under the tight hole policy.

Hang in their folks, what FAR and JV partners have discovered is very rare in the oil exploration world. We just need a little bit more patience, albeit in difficult times, and the fruits of our investment will come home to roost!

PJ, after we are all successful I might send you a large, framed schematic seismic section from FAR website and you can put it up on your bedroom wall and continue to discuss it in detail with your better half! Now how many posters here would want to be a fly on that wall?
