fair call ben our resources sector is a leader, but I believe much of our borrowing is focussed in the wrong areas - not in investment which fuels future growth, but in household debt
and we are a resource rich country but this abundance has allowed our politicians to be lazy in terms of creating an environment in which innovation and research are well funded and rewarded
no politician ever looks beyond the 3 year election cycle...
