GLUG WRITES:Weren't you advocating Abbott had the answers Europe should have listened to help prevent the rapes, etc. Yet Abbott was quite prepared to bring in the same people, (though less numbers).
Abbott was prepared to bring in families from refugee camps, persecuted minorites, not the large percentage of young men europe are dealing with who are fit and free roaming across borders at will.
Abbott advised europe to close it's borders, carry out their duty to it's existing citizens or risk undermining justice for all. I repeat: risk undermining justice for all.
GLUG WRITES: So how many criminals and rapists was the acceptable number Abbott was advocating Europe allow in?
NONE. He recommended they closed their borders and exercised their right to deny entry to the migrants pushing into Europe who were all economic migrants as they were no longer fleeing conflict once they had left Syria.... Syria obviously borders no European country.
GLUG WRTES: As I said, I don't have an issue with tougher boarder controls, but the rhetoric about Abbott needs a disconnect from reality for anyone to give it any credibility.
Abbott's speech about two and a half months ago was sobering and thoughtful.
The hysteria from the left in spite of his excellent measured arguments was a disgrace and carry over of hate representing a true disconnect from the reality of his words.
He argued from a point of experience and offered his views in an acceptable mannor .... without a trumpet or squirrel grip like the left claimed.
I loathe to cut and paste anything anymore so suggest people who want to talk about the speech go read it.
