2/ Closing borders and controlling intake is still taking in refugees, so my question is still valid.

3/ Nothing you have posted has shown Abbott's policies would have "helped prevent the rapes and assaults" in Europe.

It's fine if you think highly of Abbott and his speech, I just don't share the same view.
