Wow, it's Beat Up Jazz Day™. Again! Phew.
Just been reading a blog post on 63 intellectually dishonest forms of debate by John Reed, accomplished author, West Point and Harvard MBA graduate.
So in the spirit of my new-found SI-connected constructiveness(!), here are Reed's two-and only two-intellectually honest debate tactics:
1. pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s facts
2. pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s logic
According to Read, all other forms of debate are dodgy. Who knew?
