Although India has said they are going to up ramp coal use by a zillion percent, and when there are protests…they can yes….but…….its 1/10th as dirty and don't forget the production of potable drinking water.

Now the China boom is effectively over, the world is going to look for a new income generator to pull the international financial markets out of recession, India is the only major potential powerhouse left.

With an ability to secure a technology that makes coal acceptable, there is the ongoing ability to market the tech to the rest of the world.

The next 'Supergreen enviro world gobfest' will probably declare, well, coal is not so bad once it goes through a benefaction process.

Don't forget the enviro gobfest meetings started in the 1970s between USA and USSR when all sorts of commitments and targets were agreed upon. They have been going on ever since, and everyone goes home with a feel good factor, and promptly forgets all about it.

This is a new era though, it is not a load of bo%%ocks driven by politicians, this a commercially viable means of using a dirty product in a much cleaner and efficient way.

This is truly disruptive technology - and with it is required disruptive economic management, and disruptive thinking. I would give our Indian partners the credit in that this respect they are ahead of the game and truly capable of providing the disruptive thinking that is required.
