The "ONLY' reason the Zed gets gold is due to the coil design, it is a mono transmit with 2 counter phased rx coils, basically a glorified DD coil. Now if GPX owners ditched the mono and tried the new 14" Detech DD coils it would leave the Zed behind. Of course it is sensitive to small surface gold, the gpx users are stuck on the mono truck and that is wrong. Try studying the 9th inverse square law.
