I don't like seeing anyone losing money and I feel like I have to keep repeating myself until it sinks in. Eshum you are more than welcome to try catch a falling knife after all it is your money but I disagree with that strategy and the market again proved today why it rarely works out. That 7% lost means you need another 7+% increase on the way up to get your loss back when/if it eventually bounces. Giving away % on an stock in an industry that has had a fundamental shift in the balance of supply/demand is dangerous.

Everyone can see rig count declines and extrapolate an expected drop off in production - the things you guys don't get is you are betting against the market which doesn't care about those things. They are focusing on
1. Weak world macro data meaning weaker demand growth.
2. Storage numbers in USA (distillates/gasoline being just as important as crude stocks).
3. Production numbers in USA

The market believes the world is oversupplied approx 1.5 million barrels/day - whether you agree or disagree doesn't matter because that is how the market is trading and will continue to trade until the Shale players get back in line Stocks decline/Production crashes.

Like I said a few weeks ago the market is acting as the policemen and will continue driving prices down until they see a shift in the supply/demand curve. US production WILL crash - my point is don't try guess when because you are likely to be completely wrong, wait until the market tells you this has happened before getting back in.
