Perhaps I should say I realize that optimal settings for PGI’s mill will not be precisely the same as Certej because they have to cope with the tailings. Assuming the grain sizes are somewhat similar, it would however make sense to begin by setting up the PGI mill at similar settings to Certej and then making variations in an attempt to cater for the rubbish in the tailings. Maybe they have done this but in the absence of any information we can only guess. I am very surprised however that they did not have the configuration figured out well in advance with assistance from Xstrata.
