I don't know.
They just sold some shares in metal X and still have $14m to unload if hard up for cash.
I don't think they are at that desperate stage yet though.

Paying off the workforce is a costly business as there is no guarantee they will return later on.
It would be a drastic step IMO.

Its not as if they are producing that much anyway.
Maybe something to do with the Chinese contract regarding volumes.
Guessing here though.
