    Selma,

several things happened to me.. this thread.. HC..

    1. posters dried up, there were morning sessions with <50 posts.. heck there was one day I remember where there was under 20 posts and I'm pretty sure @Endless was 3 of them reminding us to close open orders

    2. I looked over my trades at the end of the year and in one 3 month stretch I did 24 trades with an average profit of 2.8%.. not saying there weren't better runners or people who made good profit, the issue I had was that there would be 2-3 stocks with volume/liquidity which would look good then suddenly volume would dry up, it really made me over-think some of my trading strategies and second guess myself. Occasionally there was what looked like good setups that I was trading successfully 70% of the time and in that time they would start fine then just dry up and everyone would be trying to squeeze out an exit.

    3. I went back to full time work others probably did also haha luckily I love both engineering and trading so its much of a muchness to me as long as I can live a certain way

    4. there were hardly any new posters on the DT thread.. it seemed like the dreams of 'big fortunes' made with minimal effort were a long distant part of the past..

AS far as other traders went, there was still liqudity in the big falls in major stocks, which is what a lot of people on here seemed to trade. I wasn't very good at that then, heck I'm still not.. but some here probably made good coin from the 1-2 over-sold stocks every week that had a slight profit or earnings downgrade and were smashed beyond belief.
