Derham, you need to go back a little further. I believe Forest picked up the technology for $100k, after some years of previous incarnations getting nowhere and basically writing it off.
Work out how much they made on the initial deal, add in fees, and then add the $4m (paper currently) they have made on the options.
Good luck to them! But you would be advised to go to their web site and research their previous deals. They know how to make something out of a sow's ear, for sure. As for the mom and pop investors - well that is a rather different story.
I would have thought the best investment is taking a stake in Forrester.
If you can find some tech, or medical that has been around the traps and got nowhere, Forrester may be just the folks you need to speak to. But go and tie up the deal for the rights first.
