After your posting on (your) take on the GFC, I finally realised that you actually must be the age of your photo on here. So naive, it is frightening, to us oldies. Do not take this personally - I used to be that naive and besides, I kind of like your questioning postings.

In your defence (sort of) I do admit that, growing up in England, in the late 1940s/ 1950s, and even as I had to walk around bomb craters to get to primary and then secondary school, I distinctly remembering saying to myself at the time:
'what is all this fuss about the World War? Life seems pretty good to me, in this nice Devon village. Pretty much bloody perfect, in fact' (Maybe not that perfect, as I never knew my father, who was killed in the war ..... I lived with my mum and a stepfather who came home from the local pub most nights, drunk and abusive - due to the trauma he suffered in the War)......but hey, that was par for the course, as they say, in the 1950s. Having a Masters Degree in Mental Health, I now know he was suffering PTSD.

So I can sort of understand that, 8 (eight) years go, this major global catastrophe called the GFC, might be just an story, told by oldies like me, with no relevance to your age group. Time flies - and not slowly.
I felt the same in the early 1950s, when reflecting back on a World War that had killed 50 million people.
To me, as a pre-teen, it was something OTHERS had suffered, not me.
I digress.

Manipulation is everywhere in life. If you don't believe that, what can I say? Maybe you will learn the hard way? I don't know - and to be honest, don't care.

However, we oldies, sure as hell know that manipulation is everywhere in this life. Always and everywhere, there is some runt (or a word that sounds like runt) trying to steal your life savings.
In fact, every morning when I log onto the computer, there are half a dozen emails trying to convince me to click onto them because "I have won a lottery, and they need to get my details urgently " (despite I have never heard of or entered such lottery - and would they not know my details anyway)?? and so on, and so on, day after day, week after week, month after month. Yes, I do have good internet security.

To your defence, and despite what I said immediately above - you may well be correct.
It COULD be a coiled snake - and if the NOR quarterly does give me the facts and figures I hope for, I WILL be selling other non performing stocks and buying more NOR (hopefully, before the coil unwinds at a great rate of knots).

All of the above is my personal opinion. DYOR. End of rant. Life's a bitch, as they say (you know the rest of the saying).
