Too hard to estimate Burt&erine, due to all the add ons that are due to come into the equation.
Some of these could take off like a proverbial rocket, as they align with what App Annie says companies should be doing in 2016, to increase monetisation and to make World Phone an 'essential 'app for users i.e. not just for travel but for everyday use. (You can find out what App Annie say, by going onto App Annie and click on 'insights 'on the front page, top of the page).
World Credit, free app to app and helping the 'unbanked ' are the three areas I see as pushing World Phone into a bigger user group (other than just travel).
Would be nice to know what these other two apps are that Paul O has planned.
Maybe, as Cocoman said recently, there could be an announcement on some of the above, to coincide with the Presentation road show starting on 8th Feb 16 (just over a week away)
If NOR keeps growing at 1 million downloads per month, as a minimum, that would be building an excellent base. I would expect and hope it will then start increasing - but do not want to guess at a figure, as downrampers will use that as evidence against me, if I aim too high!
Fixed and variable costs decline, as they are spread across more and more downloads. NOR has hinted at this and certainly all Economics and Accountancy Degrees know this to be true.
It is studied at length in the 1st Year of those Degrees (Economies of Scale; fixed, variable and total costs leading to a downward sloping cost curve - in the short term, Supply and Demand and it's influences on costs, etc.etc.etc).
It is also commonsense that costs should decrease and economies of scale kick in.
Supply and Demand is an interesting area. If demand for a product is off the scales, then the company can charge a higher price. i.e. Apple have been doing this, until recently, with each iPhone release, as it is seen as a luxury / fashion item in many countries (China, for example).
Who knows?, this might apply to NOR sometime in the future, in that it may be able to charge higher prices compared to rivals? A lot will depend on those addons and how and who adopts them.
What the current cost figure is, per download, I don't know. Although, I do seem to remember NOR gave some indications in an announcement(s) prior to Christmas about how costs per download were decreasiing?
Tonyindo may have some idea, as he is the undisputed Guru of all things about NOR.
