True that downloads are not revenue and revenue is not profit.
However, the "annualised revenue" is a sensible thing to do when dealing with fixed/recurring revenue figures. The same can be done with fixed costs. Cost of monthly/quarterly electricity for the lights in the office can be extrapolated for the whole year. But anything else which varies through out the year CANNOT be extrapolated the way that they've done with revenue.
