While i am no expert in Healthcare deals on a global scale.. i work for a group of international companies that turnover a very tidy amount of Euro's.. When we do product development for our customers it can take anywhere from 6 months to 18 months as it may involve getting new equipment to produce the product they need or just new technology that we see as being the next big thing..

We produce and supply various sample specifications for them to review, we then supply them with full production quality finished goods when they have made their selections. Following this they test the products in the market before committing to stock...

If they do not want to commit we get a phone call to say thanks but no thanks what else do you have in development? If they do like we get on a plane and meet to discuss volumes, pricing and ongoing agreements/support etc..

Not saying this is definitely the case with POC1 but Geoff flying to POC1 for a meeting is NOT for egg and mayo sandwiches, a waffle and and a thanks but no thanks.. quite possibly a quadruple shot espresso at the meeting tho..

We may never know exactly what for at the moment but it certainly imvho leans towards "we have the data,its looks good, come and see us we need to talk about how we move forward with this"...
