Actually if you follow his posts buffet is bullish on SHJ, bearish on SGH. I'm in the same boat. In my mind there is nothing wrong with a discussion about the pros and cons of a stock and in fact anything that invites an intelligent discussion or consideration of one's investments is a good thing IMO. I can definitely see where he is coming from with his concerns over the calculation of WIP.

Given that WIP calculations are the basis of most of the concern over this stock I think it's fair to want to dive deeper. I'd like it if we could get more info from Shine themselves but obviously nothing that could give any edge to competitors like Slater.

Note: I actually reckon Slater doesn't settle that much more often than Shine. The differences would be minor... however on an accounting basis I'd argue Slater are more aggressive. Crappy accounting just leads to bigger problems later on IMO. Which we will witness when Slater inevitably writes off some WIP and valuation of their business via Goodwill.
