Here is why the fracking part is so much more expensive:
The crane hovering over head is on the actual well - which would have needed just one drill rig to dill.
To frac requires something like 200 trucks loads of water, chemical and particles (sand usually)
Just look at all that plant - the trucks are in a pressure train to build the required pressure to fracture the rock - lots and lots of $$ sitting in this picture - and how many people must be employed for this part of the process?
