I find it strange this comment "Investors are filled with fears over a potential recession and plunging oil prices"
If anyone remembers the GFC it was preceded by high oil prices not low oil prices , as should not low oil prices make many companies (apart from oil producers ) more profitable ie airlines , trucking companies , farming corporations ?
Maybe a concern for banks as increased profits from transport companies can be used to pay down debt but is that such a bad thing for those transport companies that actually increasing GDP compared with the financiers ?
