RE Motley Fool; paid services are no better. Yesterday I reviewed the recommendations of a paid service I subscribe to and only one or two are showing a profit out of around 20. So they cannot be relied upon to make investment decisions. Lets face it in this market everybody loses money at least on paper. So people in their desperation rely on tips . It is easy to say do your own research but most investors neither have the interest ability or time. Organisations like Motley Fool who plague my computer with emails everyday remind me of the merchants on the gold fields who made hay out of the people who actually dug for gold.

There are no easy ways of making money consistently over time on the share market . Even Warren Buffett has his failures. Time in the market and inflation over the years help but that is all. The wins you have are counterbalanced by the losses.
