This has gone too wide too fast with a product that is too premature. Instead of focusing on more schools it should have focused on a perfect product in a few schools. I would rather see 70% of students sign up in a handful of schools who love the app, rather than 1% of students in thousands of schools who hate it.
Things will not get interesting with 1m downloads nor 10m downloads, what matters is how interested people are in looking at this app and how many times they look at it per day. As far as monitizing goes, what is more valuable: 1m downloads with users looking at it once a week or 50k downloads with users looking at it 5 times a day?
This app should be being run by a handful of students in a cheap rental. Instead its burning millions of your hard earned $ and going nowhere fast.
