I can feel your pain from Tangeirs days. I was following that closely but thankfully never invested.

I think Icewine is about as different a situation as you can get from your previous experience. Hunting elephants in deepwater is expensive and not too many plays come off (in full disclosure I hold FAR).

The expansive acreage 88E has on the NE Slopes is in proven oil territory, 35Miles from Prudoe Bay 15Bil+ field, Government has generous concessions and rebates for exploration, local landowners are supportive, Icewine#1 is proving up to be better than modelled as more testing is completed, we have one of the best oil shale guys going around from Eagle Ford, The Trans Alaska Pipeline is adjacent to get the oil to market, all year round highway access through the acreage, good infrastructure nearby at Prudoe Bay, 3D seismics looking to buy those already done plus new seismics starting soon, potential JV to fund ongoing exploration and prove up the potential 2-3Bil+ resource, as well as other options for future funding.

IMO 88E has 100x more going for it than Tangeirs previous venture ever did yet you were happy to pay 30c per share for that, but are now balking at 1.6c for Icewine. I know I am very comfortable with my investment and the huge potential in front of it over the coming year or 2.
