7 million installs is nice, 1o million installs is nicer
But, it's only the directors who are really excited about 10 million installs and when zip is back over a $1 (and I believe it will be) they'll have 1.5 million reasons to be excited.
(btw, who the hell voted for that one?)

I am bullish on ZIP, however...
forget monetisation, what about the app, ZIPT? Calling aside, it's crappy.
Until the bugs are fixed and more functions available, the more people who install it, the more people who have a crappy experience or find that it doesn't really suit their needs - if they want to do more than call and basic messaging or share their location, or share a photo (that can't even be saved).
The kids want more than that

Judging by the talk about ZIPT on HC I wonder sometimes if I am the only person that uses zipt, or at least the only person that has problems with it.

So zipt can be crappy and fairly functionless (again, call quality great and cost fantastic if that's all you want) - at least for me.

Now, we will need some money soon.
Ziptout revenue ok but would surely be better if users installed zipt for the excellent call quality and other functions and then decided to pay for ziptout. That's the idea, right?

Next: Speedcast deal - but zipt will have to operational or the deal will fall through or be postponed.

Then, all further revenue (monetisation) relies on extra functions within zipt - and this is the part that concerns me. Right now I can't even share a file on zipt 1 or sync contacts on zipt 2.
Kind of doesn't fill me with confidence for the money making functions.

Having said all the above, I still believe that Zip can do it as long as bugs are fixed faster and functions added. I believe this because the development takes time and take some comfort in reading through the development timeline of an app like LINE.

Zipt 2 offers some exciting developments and potential for revenue.
They've come, now they have to build it and at a much faster rate than they have been.
