Hi Ridge, Just dumb luck I think looking back on it. The DOW dropped to 9008 then struggled back to 9380. I can't tell you when, all I do is P&F's, ignoring time. I think there was a certain amount of commentary that reinforced my feeling that if the spike over 9300 didn't hold, the DOW was going a long way down. Once it fell through the second time I was seriously bearish. As it happened the next leg down took it to 7733. As I say, just dumb luck. But the interesting thing psychologically is that it now looms in my mind as a line in the sand, whereas looking at the chart it doesn't stand out.
