My story originally began with research and a better knowledge of diamond exploration and diamonds.

In 2001 I invested in my first diamond explorer, It was called Striker Resources and later changed its name to North Australian Diamonds and is now called Merlin Diamonds. and was exploring in the top end ... near the merlin diamond mine?. I sold my shares many many years ago (when still Striker Resources) and lost most of the funds invested!!! In a nut shell, although during this time I did a lot of research in diamond explorers, Striker Resources which was "dreaming" about what they would one day find, while getting more funds from investors who were believing the dream. At this stage, and all my research I decided that diamond mining was difficult and not to invest in these in the future.

The next time diamonds were part of my life were when I was buying engagement ring for my wife. During this time I learnt about the 4 C's and how much difference and impact it had on the selling price of a diamond. This them make me start thinking that diamonds were a lucrative business ... if they were top quality, and the former idea of never investing in a diamond mine is abolished.

My first investment in LOM was in the Lonhro days, and specifically after the announcement (on 12.11.2010 where they had announced that they had found a 15 carat diamond at the time ... I started contemplating what a 15 carat engagement ring would have cost me!!! and was very interested. Funny how a 15 carat diamond attracted my attention to LOM and now they are announcing 100 carat plus carats, and it's seem like it "normal" operations and some readers do not even consider this special, ignoring the fact that they are also type IIa diamonds. My history in diamond explorer company simply highlighted that a 15 carat diamond find is big and special.

Since this date I have researched further and have only been getting more and more confident on my investment and the ability of the LOM BOD and team and their diligence.

I must admit that during the years, I have bought and sold as required ... whilst always holding a parcel in order to see announcements and keep up to date. Hotcopper and the regular LOM posters, who go back years, and they know who they are ... have also been a great source of information and reassurance that it wasn't just me that saw the potential in LOM.

When LOM announced Kimberlite (on 13.6.2014), I got excited and purchased more LOM ... and sold 3 days later after making a $21,819.97 capital gain. When LOM announced (on 9.7.2014) that the diamonds were IIa ... this was when I made the decision that LOM had something special on their hand and that they were mining in a very special area and finding special (and very rare) diamonds. Since then I have become more confident (growing more every year and more recently, every month and now week) in LOM's unique situation and how special (once in a lifetime) investment this may be. I have invested more and more in LOM, LOMOA and LOMOB since then and the rest is now history ... I am now (a long term holder) sitting here looking forward to Monday and beyond.

In summary, my investment in a bad diamond company and losing money there many years ago, has highlighted and made it possible for me to see that LOM is very different.

The above is a bit long winded, and I was curious myself when I got involved with Lonhro and why (did not recall of the top of my head). Luckily I document these things and save information was easily accessible in my LOM folder on my computer.

Best wishes to all LOM holders ... and I seriously believe that this is like a fine old wine, and will only get better and more valuable each and every year.
