My broker reckons the weakness is due to reports out of the Philippines that the JV with San Miguel is on, and that the JV is now seeking a US$1.1bn loan to help moving things forward (though this is old news).
That would partially explain the sell off today and further underpin the rationale for Penn & Co providing extensive "trust us" media interviews late last week - buttering up the market for confirmation of a move into PI.
