The eternal question Christopher. I maintain a rational fair minded altruistic person who felt the need to warn others of what they think is a company in trouble would do the following:
Post a summary warning to all of the reason to be concerned with a company - posted in a civil and polite manner
Perhaps revisit it a month later with a...following my post of the previous month, I feel it is important to draw your attention to....
The moment a rational good Samaritan faced abuse, or felt their words of wisdom were ignored by the majority, would then stop posting - why continue trying to help people from goodness of heart only to be insulted? The Samaritan, satisfied having done their bit to try and help people, would leave with ego intact knowing they had done the right thing albeit ignored by most.
It is illogical to post day after day fighting other over a stock they do not hold. In fact it is rather weird!
To those who might say shorting a stock is investing and therefore worthy of discussion, I say go back to the casino where you belong and leave the forum for investors to discuss a company. Never will I, or most others I speak with, be convinced that the stock market is anything more or less than a place where capital is raised to support company growth.
In anticipation of 'rose tinted glasses'; I am happy and want discussion with holders who have concerns about aspects of the business. That is a far cry from ramblings of people who have no interest in investing in the stock.
