Good point , steal from peter to pay paul sorta deal . Lol . At least now lucapa have such great news just waiting to hit the market , momentum should be mostly sustainable
* where as other runs ran outa puff or perceived as hype or enthusiastic rhetoric -- " ... onto hats " . Any-day- now announcements are quite substantial in their own right - alone . Together they could be an unstoppable avalanche of good news
The list is well known by now so wont rattle it off again tho tempting it is , cos it so good !!!
Just two i shall mention , the results from L259 - this will be HUGE, no other way to put it . Has the potential to shake up the whole sector, at least in australia . All indications so far are leading to that . Even the ear2ear grins on lucapas chairmans faces and co can attest to that .
For the unitiated here that have started to tune in
L259 is the kimbolite pipe believed to be shedding the prolifically large diamonds of late , four of which are 100+ carats m. Including the 404 ct . ( 3 of which are not your scrappy run of the mill diamonds . They belong to the top 2% Of all recoveries . Type 2a colour D . )
Now lets compare L259 to the fourth largest diamond mine on earth . Catoca ( Alrosa run) Which sits on the same lucratively diamondiferous Geological feature " lucapa graben " as L259 . Early days for a true comparison yes but one can see the potential if ept at joining the dots .
Catoca is approx 60- 65 hectares . Average carrat price is approx $70- last checked. it is however a huge producer with millions of carrats per year . ( fully fledged open pit mine )
L259 is already twice as big @110 hct. And growing as the southern boundary is fully mapped out . Average carrat price stands between Approx $2000 -$2340 .
A type 2a diamond pipe like this is extremely rare . And mineralogy and other strong geological indicators including the record breaking " 404 " all point to that being the case .
2nd point of huge news to follow is the highly anticipated gazzetting . This will derisk the company substantially . Which should see a markedly huge rush from trading houses and funds just waiting for this news to become official . Given the the fuss the Angolan government made over this latest 404 gem and subsequent announcements bringing them huge public attention , insiders suggest this is a mere formality .
Wheres theres smoke - theres generally fire . And ive already got the marshmellos and booked a front row seat . And yes i am a holder to be clear . So Dyor .
