AntN, child abuse is just that and we shouldn't excuse it on any grounds; religious, racial or otherwise!
Sadly in Australia our government even grossly under-resources those responsible for crisis and recovery management. Our pollies are NOT fair dinkum about properly addressing such matters as they even generate media constructs to stigmatise, denigrate and vilify entire communities.
Removing a child from serious parent abuse is a no-brainer, but removing kids from entire families and subjecting them to subsequent child abuse is the story of the Stolen Generation.
For Alan Jones to call for a repetition of the stories like Avis Gale's below is repulsive to me and heartily sickening:
