or you sell your options, just like trading a share (they will automatically appear in commsec or whatever your trade with), generally for the difference of the current price and the exercise price. So if AVQ is 80c then someone will be willing to buy your options ~35c. The 35c goes to the seller of the option, the buyer can then exercise the options by giving AVQ 45c (hence the options probably trading around 35c = 80c - 45c)... the buyer still pays 80c but can postpone the final payment to AVQ till just before end march 2017 if he/she likes.
