Ravishankaray; I don't know Rod Halsted but I'll accept your assurance that he's a 'good Australian' even though I don't use such terminology and it has nothing to do with my response to comments he chose to publish in the Opinion Section of Albury-Wodonga's local daily paper [' The Border Mail'].

I regard that article as a derogatory comment about Aboriginal leaders Adam Goodes and Stan Grant as well as Kevin Rudd and including the extracts below:
"... the issue that just won't go away, the Adam Goodes racism saga. ..."
"... Please name me another player in either AFL or NRL who has been booed the way Goodes was. ..."
"... The fact is both you [Kevin Rudd] and Stan Grant are using this divisive issue to further your own political agenda. Ego over the best interests of the nation you failed to serve well. ...".

IMO such comments should NOT go unchallenged. Yet our local paper is known to be censoring people who may do just that and following pressure exerted by the local Liberal Party - a matter Cathy McGowan is soon expected to raise in Parliament.

Please note that it IS possible to disagree with views people express without saying they're not good Australians and that is was YOU who raised the issue of Halsted the person.
