There are 5 Star Hotels in Australian cities where all meat purchased for their functions/kitchens is Halal.
Was at a function and heard someone request Halal - that person was told not to worry because all the meat on the premises is Halal certified.
Clearly at least some major suppliers have decided (perhaps based on requests from their customers) that it is easier to get the certification (or purchase/supply exclusively from Halal certified Abattoirs) than to lose some business.
